Pouring the Slab

Today is the big day. Clear, sunny, cool and breezy. Perfect weather for pouring the slab. Joey Thornley, Jr turned up early and pouring began as soon as the cement truck arrived. It took two truck loads to complete the job. It was a bit of a tight fit for the big trucks, but they made it.

So whats sticking out of the slab? I assume that the red stuff is the heating pipes? But what about all those other pipes? just trunking for water / mains etc?

In the last picture are they steel rods sticking out?

  2. Shelagh Says:

The white pipes are the underground plumbing for drains. The steel rods are a guide for leveling the slab.
